And…Scene!
In this week’s episode, best friends Zane Taylor Hughes and Dave Biscella talk about the time they recently spent together. They also discuss whether they are more comfortable sticking to strict plans or making it up as they go. They also reflect watching old VHS tapes of their younger selves and the play they were in together in high school. They also talk about where they originally learned improv and discuss art in prison, looking through old comics, dinosaurs, the fantasy genre, and more!
They also interview Dick Butkus (not the football guy) and Stacy Rimjob of the Improv Troupe the No-Buts about the art of improv and how they aren’t your grandma’s improve troupe. They also check out an episode of a new hit TV show and play some diaries recorded during their recent travels.
And, as usual, there’s plenty of friendship and nonsense along the way.
Look for new episodes every Tuesday wherever you get your podcasts or at MyShoesHurt.net. Please bare with us for the first handful of episodes, as they may not be released in the order they were recorded. So if something sounds off or we reference something you don’t remember, it’s not you it’s us.
The My Shoes Hurt Logo was drawn by Talia Bixler, Dave’s 13 year old daughter that he’s super proud of.
The opening/closing theme is an excerpt from the song Out Come the Sun by You & Me Both from the EP of the same name. You can check them (it’s really just one dude, Dave’s buddy Westy) out here.
